STUDIOX ("we," "us," or "our") operates the STUDIOX platform, a marketplace connecting brands with creators for user-generated content (UGC) campaigns. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at joinstudiox.com and any related services.

By using STUDIOX, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and profile information. Authentication is handled by Clerk, Inc.

Creator Profile Information

Creators may provide a display name, biography, location, content niches, and social media handles.

Instagram Account Data

If you choose to connect your Instagram account, we collect and store the following data through the Instagram Basic Display API and Instagram Graph API:

• Instagram user ID
• Instagram username
• Instagram follower count
• Instagram account type
• Long-lived access token (stored securely to maintain your connection)

This data is used solely to verify creator eligibility for campaigns that have minimum follower requirements, and to display your connected Instagram account on your creator profile. We do not post on your behalf, read your direct messages, or access your followers' personal data.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We store only a reference ID linking your account to Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details directly.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the platform, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the STUDIOX platform
• To verify creator eligibility for campaigns based on follower counts
• To process payments and payouts through Stripe
• To send notifications about campaign activity, submissions, and payouts
• To facilitate communication between brands and creators
• To improve our platform and develop new features
• To comply with legal obligations

4. Instagram Data Usage

We access Instagram account data only when you explicitly authorize it through Instagram's OAuth flow. Specifically:

• We use Instagram data only to verify your follower count for campaign eligibility
• We display your Instagram username on your creator profile within STUDIOX
• We periodically refresh your follower count to keep campaign eligibility current
• We do not sell, share, or use Instagram data for advertising purposes
• We do not use Instagram data for any purpose beyond what is described in this policy

You may disconnect your Instagram account at any time from your creator settings page, which will delete your stored Instagram access token and associated data.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Stripe — for payment processing and creator payouts
• Clerk — for authentication and account management
• Cloudflare R2 — for secure video file storage
• Meta (Instagram) — only as necessary to authenticate and retrieve your account data
• Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect our rights

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Instagram access tokens are automatically refreshed every 30 days. If you disconnect Instagram or delete your account, your token is immediately deleted from our systems.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing (including disconnecting Instagram)
• Data portability

8. Data Deletion Requests

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, including any data collected through Instagram. To delete your data:

1. Disconnect Instagram: Go to your creator settings page within STUDIOX and click "Disconnect Instagram." This immediately deletes your stored Instagram access token, user ID, username, and follower count from our systems.
2. Delete your account: Go to your account settings and request account deletion. We will permanently delete all personal data associated with your account within 30 days.
3. Email request: If you are unable to access your account, email us at studiox.admin@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include your name and email address and we will process your request within 30 days.

Upon deletion, we will remove your Instagram user ID, username, follower count, and access token. We will confirm deletion via email once complete.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), encrypted storage of access tokens, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Children's Privacy

STUDIOX is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of STUDIOX after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
